OGFZA MD/CEO Meet with the Chairman of Waltersmith Petroman Group

The MD/CEO and his team met with Mr Abdulrazaq Isa, the Chairman of Waltersmith Petroman Group, owners of the Waltersmith Refinery at Ibigwe, Imo State. It is the first modular refinery built and operated by an indigenous Nigerian company. The meeting was held during the first official visit of OGFZA to the headquarters of the company at WALTERSMITH TOWERS in Ikoyi, Lagos.

Waltersmith recently applied for an Oil and Gas Free Zone status which is being processed for both Ministerial and Presidential approvals.

Mr Abdulrazaq Isa also doubles as the Chairman of the Independent Petroleum Producers Group (IPPG), which is a group of 30 indigenous petroleum producing companies who are not only licensed by FG to operate various oil wells, but are also currently carrying out actual production and export activities for crude oil and gas.

Discussions were held on how OGFZA and IPPG can collaborate to implement federal government’s policies on gas hubs, gas expansion and domestic utilization.
