The Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Mr Udom Emmanuel, recently signed an Executive Order for the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA), giving it the power to administer the land where the Liberty Oil and Gas Free Zone is located. The ceremony to transfer the 50,215-hectare land to OGFZA took place at the Akwa Ibom Governor’s Lodge in Abuja. With the Executive Order vesting the Authority with control of land resource in the Free Zone, OGFZA is in a position to support investors in the zone with land, for a start, as one of the Free Zone incentives.
